[attr="class","jack"]Nobility. It wasn't something Jack missed. It was a form of faux power that they believed whole heartedly the Leveilleur sisters didn't need. They'd find real power. More tangible power outside of generational wealth and comeuppance. The only thing...or person Jack missed from their life of nobility, was Penelope. Penny, while in a completely different ball game than the Leveilleur's at least understood Jack's plight. Enjoyed Jack's company during those moments when Jack was allowed to attend an event but stick to the shadows...and while Penny was younger, Jack didn't mind the age gap - because Penny was wise beyond her years even more than most gave her credit for.
[break]Reconnecting with Penny hadn't been a planned affair...but it was a welcomed one. After all that Jack had been through these past few months, there was one thing they wanted - and it so happened to be one thing they knew Penny wanted. To attend a party.
[break]A real party. Not those stuffy events where everyone had to bow and know ballroom dances....
[break]A party where people gyrated against one another, drank entirely too much and the ground at the end of the night was a sticky mess. That was the kind of party Jack lived for...and it helped keep that beast inside of her sated. Dancing, drinking- forgetting about the world's issues for just a few hours...and most importantly...no candies that make you hallucinate nor giant swords cutting into people. That was extremely important to distinguish here for this party.
[break]Flying alongside Penny to the location of the rave, Jack chuckled a bit, "'course I'm sure. Youse never been ta a party like this before...and I want youse to 'ave fun. We both deserve fun." Jack motioned to a large building in the distance, where lights could be seen flashing throughout it, "There it is...youse just stick by me. Ain't nothin' bad gonna happen..." So long as Penny didn't separate from Jack...if that happened...there'd be a fire. And Jack would be the cause.

[attr="class","jack"]Jack didn't always come with a plan already devised...but this time was a unique case. They had Penelope with them and that meant they had to ensure things went without a hitch and that also meant some forethought had to go into tonight's party. Which is why, they had managed to scope the building out the night prior and knew the back entrances.
[break]Once they landed, Jack looked to Penny, smiling with a familiar glint in their gaze, "Nah- we ain't waitin' in no line. C'mon, follow my lead." They were off then, moving quickly to the side of the building where there was a back door. Currently a carriage sat unoccupied with boxes. The door is propped open and the bass is heard from the other side.
[break]"Grab a box-" Jack had no idea what was inside of them, but they were labeled and if they could convince someone they were just there to drop things off backstage for the DJ well then they could easily slip off claiming they were just using the restroom.

[attr="class","jack"]"So...are we in?"

Miraculously, they were in fact in. Without any issue which was astounding given Jack's luck as of late. Seemed those backstage had far more important things to deal with than the two of them. So without a second thought, Jack winked at Penny before grabbing her arm to loop with their own and moved out to the main area.

The concussive blasts reverberating through the chest cavity of hundreds of people either yelling what at one another, or pretending to hear what the other person actually said and laughing hit them both like a freight train the moment they exited the backstage. The area having been saved partially by some of the sound proofing, but now they were in the main room - the timbre of the space is enthralling and Jack immediately felt that inner monster of her getting excited by the scene before them.

"Let's grab a drink first-" Jack mentioned to Penny, leaning forward and speaking into her ear so that Penny could hear them. They knew that the loud music would drown their words out - and they didn't have that nifty spell to speak in someone's mind...they were an elemental in all regards. With a firm grip upon Penny, Jack began to weave through the crowd, ready to fight anyone if Penny got bumped around. Jack could take the hits but Penny was new to all of this.

[attr="class","jack"]That thrumming of music vibrated throughout their entire body as they bobbed and weaved through the writhing bodies of wannabe dancers as they shifted and moved to the beat. Right now, Jack's priority was getting Penny and them drinks.

"I'm not old enough though-!" Jack smirked some and looked at Penny with that mischievous grin, "I know- but it's important to learn your limit...besides. I got youse." Jack promised. And they usually didn't promise things...but Penny was important to them. They were nearly a sister to them. And everyone knew how important Jack's blood sister was to them. Nothing would happen to Penny while Jack was around, even if Penny was far more versed in magic currently than Jack.

Moving up to the bar, Jack slammed a hand down on the counter, their mismatched gaze locking onto one of the bartenders. With a nod, they grinned; "Two Purple Dragons," Jack stated while placing some cash on the counter. Was it theirs? No. Writhing bodies packed tightly together were prime targets for pick pocketing...especially drunk ones so the cash wasn't hard to acquire.

"Now then, do youse know more than ballroom dance?" Jack stated, eyes focused upon the drinks as they were made to ensure they weren't spiked.

[attr="class","jack"]No matter how hard Penny may try to fit in, she was failing. Jack gave her credit for the attempt though, but they way she fidgeted or swayed had the look of someone nervous...at the very least. But thankfully, no one even seemed to mind; probably too wrapped up in their own worlds...which was just fine by Jack. They really wanted this night to go well and didn't need someone fucking it up.

Jack successfully retrieved drinks, and handed it over to Penny before taking a gulp herself. It was sweet. Far too sweet for something Jack usually liked...as they really preferred something with heat. Something that packed a punch. Still, sugary ones were easier to swallow, though they were killer on the head in the morning if you consumed far too many. It would be fine. Penny wouldn't go over board...maybe.

With no other experience than ballroom, Jack would have to show her how to loosen up when dancing...not difficult - they only had to...someone bumped into Penny and Jack's eyes flared; "Oi! Watch where yer going dude!" Jack barked, immediately moving to check on Penny...only for the man to shout back; 'cuse me? Yer in my way small fry. Git outta here..." And as Jack was assessing the damage of the drink on Penny's dress, she was shoved by the man causing her drink to spray all those around them.

Well. This was going well. Jack's anger sparked, and while Rumple had now manifested, Jack was trying to keep it calm. Fire and Alcohol did not mix...

[attr="class","jack"]Jack was trying to take deep breath's while that familiar beast was clawing their insides to escape. To latch on to the man who dared call them small fry and shove them. The man who felt it was wise to spill their drinks. If there weren't so many people around, Jack would have already cast a fireball at his face....alcohol or not.

But Kasimir's advice was in her mind. They did need to keep control right now...their hands balled into fists...nails digging into the palms of their hands...harder...

and harder...

until the skin broke.

A sliver of calm, and Jack let out a breath. Just as Penny was stepping in front of her...Go fuck yourself!

IM SORRY WHAT. DID PENNY JUST SAY THAT. Jack's eyes lit up with amusement and joy. "Yeah! What she said. Go fuck yerself!" And he was being shoved by the young witch. Jack was impressed, not by the magic....they knew Penny was talented. No they were impressed by Penny's taking a stand. "Hell yeah! Git bent!" Jack shouted to the man who clearly was lost at what just happened while the two take off for the middle of the crowd.

Jack was laughing along with Penny, "Tha' was great! Did you see the look on his face when the gravity changed?!" They beamed and using the hand Penny was holding spun the other girl, mildly aware that their hand was bleeding onto Penny's hand.

But hey.

They were on the dance floor after all, time to blow off some steam. "Yer gaia right, so you know how the sand flows freely when you pick up a handful of it and let it fall to the ground? Tha's how I think of dancin'...none of tha' stiff ballroom movement...jus' lettin' yerself move however it feels."

[attr="class","jack"]Jack enjoyed the simplicity of Penny's insults toward the guy. His face being stupid was a juvenile insult at best, but it was that innocence that was refreshing. Jack had to grow up in a different way than Penny here. But both of them had expectations from others...Penny more so than Jack...and her sheltered life was very apart in that insult. "It was wasn't it?" Still, Jack agreed, but she had a far more colorful set of words to call the man...

Rumple was the only one who heard them though...and he agreed with her.

As they moved, not exactly with the music but still, dancing all the same, Jack then realized that Penny was speaking about her hand. Glancing down at it, Jack pursed her lips and gave a nod, immediately brushing it off. "Oh tha'...sorry- it's nothin' jus' a little blood. Sometimes my nails dig in too much when I feel myself losin' control o' my anger..." Jack didn't mind the feel as it throbbed....that was keeping them grounded just a little bit. "Did I bleed on youse?" Jack stated, eyes glancing to Penny's hands..."We should git a wet paper towel from the bathroom."
