Outside of Cerberus, Cassidy Wolfe does not look like someone who would be the high priestess of a coven. In fact, she looks like someone you wouldn't want to mess with--leather jacket, adorned with spikes and combat boots to match.

But the nature of her job makes her a familiar face to everyone in Delphi--and so when she walks into the Rose Lounge, the only thing that stops her entrance is a card, which she hands over easily. Dmitri's running late--as he always does. So she asks for drinks: whiskey on the rocks.
One for her, and one for Dmitri.

When the curtains swing open, Dmitri is standing there in all his grandeur. His wolfish grin hasn't changed, but she knows him well enough to sense that there's something manic about him, aggressive and frenzied.
There's a lot to catch up on, evidently.

Cass had already known it wasn't Dmitri when it happened. But it was good to confirm that it was true from the man himself. "Good. Because if it was you we’d have a problem."[break][break]

Dmitri stares at her blankly, and she explains. "I think it’s Hydra."

Dmitri's look of surprise brings her satisfaction. In some childish way, she'd beat him. And at his own game too--information.
"I know." She says, having anticipated his questions.

Cass opens the folder and slides it in front of Dmitri. The files are organized in a way that is easily digestable, with neat notes written in the margins.

"Connected robberies, vandalism, murders--all the victims can be traced back to Hydra after the war." She says.

There's a twist in her lips as it curls into a quiet smile. Dmitri is a prodigy--so rarely can someone outmaneuver someone who is the leader of Sybaris.

But he knows her well. He's already caught on to what she's saying, and she rolls her eyes. Cass twists it in her favour anyways.

"You first." She says. Childish perhaps, but the point is that Dmitri needs to give as much as he receives.

She points towards pictures of the MAGIQ canisters and spirit masks, both illegal objects within the jurisdiction of Delphi. The canisters had been found by Cerberus witches earlier this year, and some of the spirit masks had been left behind on CAD. He should have a better grasp of the black market...

Dmitri launches into his own explanations, pushing the binder towards her. Cass opens it quietly, eyes following his evidence like a story. It almost felt like telling, at least.

The file is pushed into her hands, and she quirks an eyebrow. Dmitri would be hard pressed to hand over something incriminating so easily. Either there must be more that he knows, or he's hid enough of his tracks so that it can't be traced to him. Possibly, probably both.

If all of these assumptions are true, and if his deductions are correct, he's ultimately saying that...

1. Someone created the masks and canisters, and flooded the market to hide themselves.[break]
2. Someone threatened STA to go through with the CAD deal to Dmitri's (and their own) benefit.[break]
3. Someone decided to terrorize the CAD deal just before the deal was finalized, causing civil unrest and pointing attention to Sybaris.[break]

And this someone might all be the same person...or organization.

It seemed like they were doing anything in their power to hide their involvement. The evidence doesn't lie, but there's nothing that explains their motives. She'll have to investigate more later.

She leans back in her chair, beginning her own slew of admissions.

”Alright–here’s the thing. On the day CAD was attacked, we close in on one of the known accomplices–Jayna Hemsworth.” Cass pushes the file towards Dmitri, ”And her grandparents are home. They’re civilians; cute, gay, whatever. Then masked terrorists show up out of nowhere, there’s an enormous fight, and the house is set on fire. No clue on who they were…” She remembers very distinctly, that those masks terrorists were wearing the same masks worn by the attackers on CAD.

”The third day, interrogator lets them off easy and then they–” Cass takes a clenched fist with her thumb facing out, and then draws it across her throat, ”In the end, they were being protected, Dmitri. Watched by someone.”

Hydra. [break][break]
It was a word that encompassed a concept far larger than her. Of course, being the leader of Cerberus meant you inherited the onus of responsibility of dealing with a former war enemy. More personally, though, she remembers summers in the distant past, before either of them had been caught up in the politics of the matter. Back then it was more simple.[break][break]
Her lips twist into a wry grin, and Cass laughs. “...Yeah. Fuck Hydra.” She is all she says, not wanting to linger too long in their memories.
She takes a sip in response to Dmitri’s, long awaiting his question. [break][break]
”A new war memorial. No idea what they’re planning or what they want. So we lure them out.” She says, as if it was the simplest thing in the world. Cassidy Wolfe was not known for excess of wealth; she’s someone who earns her keep. But this will only strengthen her position with the nobles, regardless if it works on Hydra or not. [break][break]
”If they get mad and start causing trouble, we can scout them out. If not, well…” She trails off before finishing the rest of her drink. ”That means that they’re organizing; planning something big.”[break][break]
She doesn’t mention the fact that she is nearly certain that she knows where the missing CAD train is, hidden in the dunes of the desert. Hydra is smart–each move appears to be carefully calculated. She already has an idea of how this might pan out.[break][break]
But while she can readily predict what Hydra might do, Dmitri is the last wildcard in her plan. She knows him better than most; he’s an extremely powerful prodigy and at the height of his career. What’s to say that he wouldn’t want more?[break][break]
”You don’t usually involve yourself in these things, Dmitri. But the timing is too coincidental. You can’t expect me to believe you’re not involved.” There’s a glint in her eyes, one that promises total devastation if it becomes necessary. And she’s warning Dmitri before he becomes caught in the crossfire.

”I’ll ask you only once: What do you know about Hydra?”
