These spells are often robust in the way that they can poison witches and familiars alike similarly to how blight would cause plants to wither and eventually die ( if left untreated, that is ). Baneful Touch allows a user to reach out to one person or creature within immediate range, infecting them with a poison that eats away at them, draining mana, causing weakness, and eventually some form of physical "rotting." Requires concentration from the caster to spread, and a degree of focus needs to be maintained throughout the spell. Target may also escape the caster's range. The spell can also be used on plants. The effect of this spell is categorized by black spots appearing wherever they were touched, and then spreading across the surface of the skin as the poison takes hold.
