Cho Youngjin isn't complete if he isn't surrounded by a whirling, raucous group of people. He laughs and entertains oh so naturally with his crude sense of humor, good looks, and unique charm—because when life asks someone to come on stage, he was practically born to perform. The spell-singing witch is eager to provide in any situation, because he loves being the center of attention, and everyone around him knows it (typically they hear it, too).[break][break]

More complex and complicated concepts have a tendency to cause his brain to flatline. He keeps his conversations light, fun; and while he isn't an idiot [by most definitions], he's the type that always leaps before he looks. Mistakes can always be addressed after the fact—life is more interesting to just do the thing, so he simply does the thing. His rule of thumb is that it doesn't have to be hard, or well thought out.. as long as it's entertaining.[break][break]

To sum his personality up: Youngjin loves drama, passion, and pleasure. Not for the emotional thrills other people may enjoy, but because they keep his mind and body active. He thrives off that short-lived process of making rapid-fire decisions which makes him a very fickle, frivolous, and spontaneous person who gets tired of his old toys very quickly. It goes without saying, but routines are a problem, and so he'll actively self-sabotage them if he grows too bored of them.[break][break]

Cho Youngjin is the definition of a fun, new-money playboy from the Vale.[break][break]

As the second son of a very rich family, Youngjin was provided with pretty much anything he'd ever want or need. He didn't have the responsibilities of the firstborn, he spent all his time wasting an exorbitant amount of gold on expensive food; karaoke parties; and most importantly, his friends. The latter of which was nearly endless even as a child, naturally attracting those around him with his talent for being the eye of the storm.[break][break]

His nobility was entirely bought with his family's fortune, but he wore the clothes and crown as if God themselves stitched him for the part. Youngjin's unique charm and spontaneity captured the eyes and hearts of those around him when he grew up—he was exciting and fun, he dripped charisma, and so it was a matter of fact that he was always the life of the party after his family had moved their base of operations to the Vale.[break][break]

When his budding talent in aer-based spellsinging became apparent, no one was really surprised. The boy loved to talk people's ears off with his silver tongue and spirited voice, so it only made sense that he found an affinity with it. His family poured their resources to place him somewhere his abilities could blossom, and although he was always focused more on his relationships and karaoke events, he did excel enough to be considered a great student [most of the time].[break][break]

It was around that time that he became involved with someone else, a young girl his age named Xiao Nan. They hit it off immediately, their personalities felt like a match made in heaven. The chaos and fun felt endless: he loved her, and she loved him. But as time began to pass, his eyes and feelings wandered. It became a routine—and then a thought crossed his mind:[break][break]

"This is kind of boring now, isn't it?"[break][break]

Youngjin became distant and neglected her, though he tried his best to do what he could. When he was hungry, he asked her to get him food. When he was lonely, he'd call her over. He believed doing these things was the right thing for both of them, even if he felt like he wasn't happy anymore. Maybe it was temporary.[break][break]

If he told her not to do the things that bothered him, would that turn back the clock to when they had fun every day? It didn't last, obviously. He spent more time with other people than her, and all it took was the meddling of one person for their relationship to finally fall apart at the seams—and while he may have tried to bring her back to him for a time, part of him was strangely relieved that he was finally 'free'.[break][break]

Karma appeared to come quite quickly after graduation: Youngjins' family abruptly called him and reprimanded him for his way of life. They called him frivolous; a leech that drained the family fortune for hedonistic desires that only served himself—they refused to put up with his bullshit any longer and informed him that since he couldn't figure out what to do with his life, they decided on a course of action for him.[break][break]

"You're moving out. We've arranged a house for you in Delphi, where you'll commit yourself to Cerberus and prove your worth as the second son of the Cho family."[break][break]

Mouth agape, Youngjin could do little else than stand in shock. He continued to stay in this state of shock on the walk to the carriage, and on the train, and even when approached his new residence; but once he saw his house, all sense of worry fled from his form like night from light. It was big, and there was only one thing on his mind at that point:[break][break]

This wasn't a punishment, it was a vacation.[break][break]

• He's absolutely terrible with horror flicks or scary things (he won't admit it).
• Loves playing games—a little too much.
• Serial flirter.
• A very competitive person, even if he tends to lose most of the time.
• Isn't afraid to ask if you even lift (he doesn't lift).
• Loves animals, especially dogs, and owns a fat shiba inu he calls "Princess".
• He's 5'8" but insists he's "6'1" on a good day."
• His type is, as he refers to it, "skinny slim thinthicc".
• Goes to karaoke probably four times a week, minimum.
• Actually isn't all that great at singing, somehow.
• Has a hidden hero complex.
• Secretly wants to be taken care of by older women.
