"...that will be all." Lucille nods and leaves with the rest of the camp staff. The bulk of the research staff has slowly moved to the facilities in the city and here she was waiting a fate unknown. [break][break]
The feeling does not sit well with her. Breaking off from the group she maneuvers the crutches to a secluded corner. The echoes of footsteps fades into silence. [break][break]

in the last few days of camp trishula, after the injury to her vocal chords, neck, collarbone, and cheek, xie transformed into a different person. [break][break]
for a long time, she worked tirelessly and without stopping on the cure. the research that had been stolen loomed over her like a cloud, and she took its loss as a personal responsibility. [break][break]
she didn't leave the camp until the entirety of it had been transformed into a holding facility, and even then every time she closed her eyes, the memories of it would flood back.
