01. How did your character's familiar initially interact with them versus how they do now?
Meiku, from the start, was a very confident and stern realist. She's always been blunt about how she feels - if she thinks you're untrustworthy, she'll make it known. But Nara is overly optimistic. She wants to see nothing but the good in everyone. She wants to be able to help everyone. So at first, that softness bothered Meiku. It seemed like weakness. She was a little hard on Nara for a while. Scolding her over simple mistakes, refusing to help her when Meiku felt that Nara had only brought something on herself. But eventually Nara's kindness wore her familiar down. Meiku realized that the girl would not change; she'd be softhearted forever, and so the best thing to do would be to protect her as much as she could. Now that they understand one another, they're the best of friends. Being with Nara has made Meiku a bit softer, and being with Meiku has taught Nara to be just a bit more careful. They work well together now, despite their rocky start.

- Why did your character give their familiar that particular name?
Being that he was summoned at a relatively early stage in Niles' life, Arthur's name basis is actually quite simple and predictable. As Niles was a fan of heroic stories, idolizing popular figures and such (you can already see where this is going I bet), his familiar was named after one such legendary figure.[break][break]Truth is, for a rather long time Niles didn't have a good idea of how to name his familiar. Meanwhile, Arthur himself seemed rather lenient on the naming matter, giving his master free room to be as indecisive as he wants. With some help from a childhood friend, naming juggled from Rory to Viktor, Atlas, Bart, Orion and even Gigi for a brief time (Arthur did not approve). At some point, the deer drew the line and the name Arthur was set in stone. "Consequences" also served a good lesson for Niles to be a bit more decisive next time. If at all.

01. How did your character's familiar initially interact with them versus how they do now?[break][break]
At first, and, even to this day, Pantalaimon acts very much like an indifferent, aloof feline. When Sabine needed him most, he often flicked the tip of his tail and turned the other way. She was a late bloomer, struggling to even hear her familiar for a very long time. While her twin brother had heard his own and tamed it later than some, Sabine struggled for far longer. Pantalaimon was cold and indifferent to Sabine's supernova intensity. They mellowed each other out since, and Sabine has adopted her familiar's coldness for herself, mastered it, really. Pantalaimon is often lazy and indifferent, picking his fights carefully. However, he is devoted to his girl as she is to him, and his cold indifference is now reserved for everyone else.[break][break]
02. Why did your character give their familiar that particular name?[break][break]
While typically familiar names are short and sweet, Sabine is dramatic. It should not come as a surprise that her familiar's name is four syllables to most's one or two. Though she affectionately and publically calls him Bon Bon or Sweetums or other obscene and childish pet names, because not even she (not that it is at all encouraged) prefers to sound out his name in its entirety. His name also carries the meaning "all-compassionate" which is ironic given neither of them are particularly so. Or are they?[break][break]
03. Where was your character when they successfully summoned their familiar for the first time? What happened?[break][break]
tbd[break][break]
04. How would their familiar react if your character was in imminent peril?[break][break]
With all of the grace and gusto of a king defending his queen. For the most part, Pan does not interfere in Sabine's day-to-day interactions, but in something as serious as 'imminent peril', he is fearless and brazen. Some have even suggested he grows significantly larger, but that could just be because they only ever see him lying down somewhere in the sun.[break][break]
05. What kind of arguments does your character have with their familiar?[break][break]
Their arguments are mostly one-sided, with Sabine all in a tizzy about something insignificant. Pantalaimon is usually indifferent and uninterested in whatever it is that's upset her, and he stubbornly continues to do virtually whatever he wants. Unless she really needs him to do something, but he often likes to test her limits as a means to encourage personal growth. Not everything needs to be solved by his suggestion or his flashing of teeth. And, a lot of the time when they argue it is because Sabine is overwhelmed and not listening to what Pan has been saying the entire time- he just hasn't been using words. The two have an incredible bond and sometimes unknowingly can communicate with mere eye contact and trust.[break][break]
06. Is your character big on celebrations (birthdays/christmas/festivals)? How do they celebrate?[break][break]
Um.. yes? Are you kidding me? She is especially interested in the celebrations specifically centered around herself. Her birthday is always a big deal and, despite how deeply she loves her twin brother, Maddox, if the attention isn't mostly on her, she's throwing a fit. She loves presents and she loves being the center of attention. Even during celebrations or festivities that aren't all about her, she wears over-the-top outfits and begs to be eyecatching. She's insufferable, really.

03. Where was your character when they successfully summoned their familiar for the first time? What happened?
Milojica was on the ranch, tending to the horses and cows. Herding them to the corrals, as was his duty. His charge. He hated it. As he did so, the young seventeen year old fell from his horse -- and at that, a voice blipped into his head. It was feminine, gentle... "Are you okay?" It coo'd, and as Milojica opened his eyes he saw a giant galactic giraffe looking down on him.
He stumbled back, hands in the dirt -- "Who, who, what -- Are you.." He was at a loss of words, "My familiar?" He gasped. The giraffe dipped her head down to the fallen cowboy, licking his face. "I.. will take that as a yes." Milojica chuckled, gently patting the head of the giraffe.
He looked up at the tall mammal, its stellar constellation of a body shifting with its every step. "So... we are..?" He trailed, patting the side of the giraffe. She bent down, for Milojica to straddle up on. He did so with an "Oomf!" and in his mind, he heard that same cosmic voice. "We are partners, connected."
And that was that.

01. How did your character's familiar initially interact with them versus how they do now?
These two loners never wanted to get along. Early days of interacting involved plenty of bickering back and forth. Both of them spent a lot of time and energy hating everyone. There won't be an exception merely because they're bound together. Somewhere along the way, they ran out of insults it shifted into a more playful competition: who could provide the best criticism, which insult works best for the situation. That sort of thing.
Decades together have eroded away most of the hard shells surrounding each of them. They still jokingly argue despite fully agreeing from the start. Being honest about feelings is too out of character, but each one trusts the other will pick up on their sarcasm. The only huge difference is that now, Valentine will hang out long enough for petting.
