[break][break]
Family Name: Yu meaning
rainfall or rain. His family, like all those of the Cult of the Mountain God, has taken on the surname of the cults founder/leader.
Sato meaning
sugar. The sweet lies that rolls off the tongues of this cult could find no better name to go by. A majority of those born into the cult (such as Charani) do not actively know their original family names.
[break][break]
As his legal guardian, Cain Delacour's last name was hyphenated with his own assumed last name. Part of this was due to his very minimal English language ability when the man became his legal guardian. For this reason his next of kin is currently listed as the Pegasus leader in case of any emergency.

Family: 4 Sister. The young man has 4 sisters two older and two younger. The eldest sister (24) is married to a man well her elder and half (1) son. He was about 3-4 years old when Charani was taken to Delphi making him roughly 7-8 in the current timeline. His sister didn't and doesn't really like children and would often leave the child to his own devices. Charani was the person the child took the most strongly too imitating him like a younger brother would. He was very clearly the child's favorite uncle. His only uncle too but still.
[break][break]
The second oldest sister (20) has no children of her own and is married to someone closer in age to her. He is a simple guard for the commune being one of the handful of witches born into the commune. He currently has the Pyros affinity. They have no children currently. Her only pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. She is the most reserved of the siblings.
[break][break]
The first younger sibling (14) is the closest in age and relations to Charani. She is the one who allowed him to escape the commune at the age of 12. She is also the most aware of the wrongdoings that were shoved onto her brother and the most resistant to the cults influence. She has long black hair that she ties up with a ribbon her brother found for her. She keeps the ribbon though it is old and worn because it was something he gave her.
[break][break]
The youngest sibling (9) is the sister who was watched the most by her brother alongside her nephew. She views Charani much like their nephew does. An older brother figure. She doesn't really understand why he left or is gone as she was to young to understand the amount of abuse the boy suffered while he was there.
[break][break]
The mother (early 40s) is a middle eastern looking woman who is a devout believer in the cult. She sees her son as someone who was born pure but tainted by the evil that surrounds this world with his
unnatural desires. She believes all the torture and abuse was a necessary evil to correct the boy. She is complicit but not an active participant in said abuse.
[break][break]
The father (late 40s) is a man who looks to be of Chinese descent. He is a witch with the power of Aquos and a grey wolf familiar. It is due to this canine like familiar that he is high up in the communes social structure. As anything similar to or in relation to kitsune are seen as divine or powerful. He is a serial narcissist who is more than willing to sell out his children for power. They belong to him after all. He is aware of the cult leaders... predilection towards his son and allowed it to happen. He even encouraged it. He is a participant in the child's physical abuse and neglect.
[break][break]
The guardian (Cain Delacour) is a man who saved the boy from the forest surrounding his village after he escaped from his imprisonment. Little does he know that he saved the boy from certain death. He would have been burned at the stake or been locked up as a 'romantic' slave for the head of the village for the rest of his life. Or at least until the man got bored of him and got rid of the boy. Charani sees this man as family and worries very much about his mental and emotional wellbeing. He treats the man like a father.

They are also said to be able to wield a fraction of the divine beasts power through pyros based spells. They are the fighting force of the God.
[break][break]
Kitsune Spirits: These take the shape of small foxes with one to three tails. They are usually tasked with delivering message, spying or leading people somewhere. They cannot wield the divine authority of the god like the miko spirits can.

The temple of the god exists decrepit in the old cave near the village. It is said to be protected by a barrier against evil as daemons rarely if ever wander into its quarters. It is unknown if this is true or that due to there being no humans there daemons simply leave it alone. The story goes that the god built the temple in a mountain cave to protect its followers from the daemons that ripped their way into the world. It was by its divine power that they are safe. Witches are seen as people blessed with an animal spirit to wield some of its divine power who are there to protect humanity from the daemonic invaders. It's unknown how much of any of this is true.
