House Roscente is recognizable by a few key traits they inherit: Their shockingly bright red hair, their affinity for pyromancy, and their aptitude for honorable mercantile practices. They dutifully serve Cerberus as a lesser house of vale nobility, albeit a formally very rich one, who paid their dues and maintained justice in all capacities they could for many years.[break][break]

On the other hand, Ronan is known for his talent in scheming, lying, and being a vile man who lacks any sense of honor. Ask anyone who knows and they'll tell you many things: he had an affair with a maid while he was engaged, he has no talent in pyromancy or any witchcraft at all, and it was because of him that, after his parents had been assassinated, the Roscente house began to fall to ruin. An abominable man who'd stab you in the back as soon as you turn it for a tidy profit, that is the essence of Ronan Roscente, if you were inclined to believe it.[break][break]

Indeed, after being the root of so many rotten events, Ronan would tell you there's one thing in the world that is certain of—Bad things often came in sets of three, and when it rained, it almost always poured.[break][break]

First, it was decided he had no potential for witchcraft due to his inability to access the same domain his family was known for, let alone summon a familiar. Second, he was betrayed by a maid he'd grown a deep relationship with as a teenager and thrown into the most scandalous event to ever hit the Roscentes lineage; and third, he was disinherited after causing an incredibly shameful scene in public, just to be blindsided by his younger brother who usurped him as heir through a majority vote from the families elders in the midst of it.[break][break]

Yet, despite the constant stream of misfortunes and betrayals, Ronan never retreated. In turn, they exiled him to a villa on the outskirts of his House's border. He still had his uses, after all: while his brother was turned into a puppet by the external Elders who retained control of the estate and its operations, Ronan was left to take care of the businesses that had fallen into decline—either to set him up for further failure, or simply keep him occupied; but, It was with these, and some conveniently acquired information left behind by a mysterious benefactor, that he was able to blackmail his way out of exile and back into societies limelight after years of being locked away.[break][break]

The plan for revenge itself was rather simple: step one, use the time he'd spend in exile to sharpen his fangs and claws—he couldn't cast pyromancy, but in life, there was always an alternative. Step two, Ronan would utilize everything he had built to flip the family on its head to regain his agency; and finally, he'd attend the most prestigious institution and walk in the footsteps of his forefathers in order to build the power, reputation and ties necessary to reclaim his birthright using any means necessary.[break][break]

One more grand performance—one more dastardly scheme to end them all.[break][break]
