ic description: The first prophecy to shake Salem in at least a century, Julian's reality-warping vision has been dubbed the AUGURY OF THE PHOENIX, and has been essentially all anyone's talking about ever since it was "verified" as a prophetic event by Old Citadel abjurers.[break][break]

(For those that don't believe in prophecy: scientifically, this means that they were able to check that it was an external source -- not Julian himself -- that corrupted the illusion and resulted in visions.).[break][break]
The words have no doubt been playing on the minds of your characters as well --- as have they been on the minds of various NPCs throughout Delphi. It's unlikely that they are all fully (or even partially) correct, but they do seem interested in giving out small tasks to curious witches willing to indulge their theories...[break][break]

Participation counts as being in a quest, as well as being in an NPC thread.
Participation is limited to ONE SCENARIO PER PLAYER
Every participating player must use an NPC CARD to participate. if you need time to gather funds for an NPC card, let staff know!
Reminder that NPC cards are not transferrable in between members, but can be transferred among characters.
Slots are first-come first serve. Participants will be locked-in in the following week! Reserve your spots ASAP so staff can begin prep.
As it is a quest, inventories will not be locked. Hoever please be reasonable about buying spells and items beforehand, especially if your quest is injury-enabled.

Recommended rank is what we're using as a guideline around injury.
Most quests have no potential for serious injury (unless desired by all participants -- we're always happy to amp up the stakes, and we'll finalize this at the end of sign ups!)
The exceptions being Eirin's and Cassidy's -- initiates that participate in Eirin's thread may see moderate risk for severe injury.
Initiates that participate in Cassidy's see very high/high risk for severe injury. Novices see moderate risk for severe injury.
(For comparison: the Afterparty and Cad Takeover both had "moderate risk for severe injury")

tags & what to expect

We don't want to give away the mystery of each of these quest scenarios, but each thread will involve moderated rounds -- the first few rounds will involve some conversation with the NPC in question in which you character is given guidance around what to do. Then, the main scenario of the quest will begin. These quest can be solo'd. All will involved small, action-packed mod-posts, but the scenarios play play toward different strengths and objectives.

Exploration may work best with people adept at different terrains, favor vision and utility skills, etc.
Puzzles are for everyone, or witches that like a mental challenge!
Recon may require conversational skills, healthy curiosity, deduction/observational skills and sneaking around.
Combat will involve a degree of actual fighting.
Ocean-based implies you may be out at sea or underwater! Prepare carefully....

Emma's Quest Special Notes

Unlike other quests, Emma's quest requires the Business Card item as opposed to an NPC Card since she's not a real NPC. The item was given out during the Winter Solstice.
There is no limit to total participants in Emma's Quest. You do not need to sign up for her quest, it will be posted later and any character with a "Business Card" may join in.
In addition, you can participate in this event with another character (Emma's quest doesn't "count" toward the 1 A.O.P. quest per member max). You cannot participate in another quest with the same character participating in Emma's quest
