Welcome to our second-ever OOC/AU event: Moonrise Mayhem.

This event is an in-character character swap, and will involve writing someone else's character (and therefore, having your characters written by someone else). It may sound daunting (or exciting), but we're super stoked, and hope you guys are willing to take a jump with us into this madness!

You will sign up with at least one character. You must be okay with this character being written (in an AU thread) by someone else on this site. (Say, Cila signs up with Yazmine)

You will be paired with another RPer (randomized) that will play your character, while you play theirs! (Say, Pan signs up with Ha-Yoon)

A thread in the AU board will be created—but the setting and general plot will be the site/Salem itself. That is, the IC scenario will be what's going on right now in Moonrise. (Yazmine and Ha-yoon meet up to chat about...Hydra)

You can claim rewards for this thread after just three posts with your two characters. (But Cila, on Yazmine's account, is writing Ha-Yoon, and Pan is doing the same with Yazmine.)

At the end of the thread, RPers can decide to "canonize" the thread if they'd like, or just ignore it and leave it as a writing exercise! Regardless, you will be given full event rewards fro any thread where both RPers make at least 3 posts.

You may sign up with multiple characters. In doing so, you are committing to writing multiple threads.

HOW WILL MATCHMAKING WORK?

In match-making, we understand that some players may be less comfortable with their knowledge of certain characters. After all characters and RPers have signed up, a separate form will be sent out. In this form, you can select characters (from others) that you feel comfortable writing. However, we encourage that by singing up to this event, you are open to writing with just about anyone on the site! We would hate for there to be too few matches generated in the event. If too few matches are generated, the event may be postponed or cancelled.

WHAT DOES THE EVENT AND TIMELINE LOOK LIKE?

Once the threads all start, you have an indefinite amount to time to complete them (post three times each) for minor rewards. There will also be a set period for a minor completion bonus. Sign ups end at 5PM CT JULY 8TH, SATURDAY.
